Liquid bulk freight includes liquid products transported in tanks, containers and bunker wagons. The bulk of liquid bulk cargoes transported by rail and road transport are petroleum products: paraffin, petrol, diesel fuel, naphtha, fuel oils, mineral oils, and to a lesser extent crude oil, which is transported mainly through pipelines. In addition, the liquid cargo category includes food products such as vegetable oils, alcohol, molasses, animal fat, salomace, and chemical cargoes such as acids, alkalis, dyes, varnishes and liquefied gas. For each type of liquid cargo, different tanks are used, with different shapes and sizes.
